Editor’s Note: Discomfort Zone
We’ve just had a Zoom video call with a bunch of people we’ve never met before. They come from different walks of life and we’re struck at how different they are from us.
We thought we have quite a diverse set of friends – with different ages, nationalities and cultural backgrounds. But this call showed us that we’ve been living in our little bubble called life.
And talking to them has given us a new perspective on life that we’ve never seen before.
We’ve reminded that there’s a reason why it’s good to step out of our comfort zone. We grow the most when we see a reality different from ours and we can seldom find it near us.
For us today, the discomfort is a small price to pay for what we’ve learned.
